This watch looks great and feels expensive. If you want it for anything other than the time look elsewhere its far too complicated. Im disappointed it doesnt have a light but otherwise very happy with it. Its a perfect size and looks smart enough to wear to any occasion.

The build quality of this watch is very good and I am very impressed with its looks and atomic timekeeping. It seems slightly smaller than the GW-500U and G-510 – the strap is certainly narrower – however it is considerably heavier at 96g than the other two watches which are both 71g. It sits well on the wrist.

My only criticism would be the functions and the ease of reading the internal dials. The stop-watch and timer use the left dial which can be difficult to accurately read the number of minutes. Also using this dial to read off the time can be tricky as all 24 hours are on the dial, so you need to count the number of dots which are pretty small – good eye sight is essential.

In conclusion it’s a lovely watch, which will always be accurate due to the radio timekeeping, but if you need to use a stopwatch to accurately time things then a digital watch would be easier to use/read.

Firstly, I like the watch. It disappoint in some areas but I’ll start with the positives.
It looks and feels really good and the build quality is up to g-shocks usual high standards. The radio controlled time is nice to have and the solar power feature seems to work flawlessly. I don’t need to go out of my way to have it in direct sunlight. Its also a good price range for what you get.
Now in my opinion its failings are: The Alarm is useless, my previous g-shock alarms could wake me up but this won’t which is a bit annoying for me.
I really don’t see the point in having a stopwatch and timer on this style of watch, its tricky to read, fiddly to use and for me a function which should only be on digital watches. Finally a light would have been nice, its very hard to read the time in the dark.
I think I’m going to just buy another cheaper digital g-shock for work.

So in summary, I like the watch and so will you but don’t buy it if you need any of the functions i described above(alarm, light, stopwatch, timer) you will end up frustrated….hope this helps.
